ULULOSZZHHH • free flow festival 2026

ULULOSZZHHH
7. June 2026

description

The polyphonic and collaborative nature of water has shaped Sarina Scheidegger’s practice for many years. For her performance *Ululoszzhhh*, the artist developed a series of ceramic instruments that can be activated by water pressure, thereby producing different pitches and melodies. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s reflections in The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, these sounds evoke alternative forms of communication, conversation, and narrative—the sounds of the whistling vessels range from whispers to howls and screams, creating a nonverbal soundscape that interacts with its surroundings.

performance starts at 5 pm, at park platz

Participants: Rodrigo Toro Madrid (CHL), Sarina Scheidegger (CHE), and others
